GCQHA ~ Year End Award Rules
1. Winner/Exhibitor must be a member of GCQHA at the time points are won.
2. In case of rainouts, that show will be rescheduled.
3. Year End Awards will be presented to the Hi-Point All Around in each age group. 1st place earning a Custom Belt Buckle and 2nd thru 6th receiving an award.
4. Each class will receive Custom Belt Buckles for Year End Hi-Point Awards for the (5) five show series.
5. Halter and Lunge Line points will be kept on the horse. All other class points kept on rider and horse.
6. Pee Wee Halter (10 & Under) and Lead Line (6 & Under) are NOT Year End Award classes.
7. Year End Award ties are broken by the number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. won and then number of shows entered.
8. To be eligible for a Year End Award, you or someone in your name, must volunteer to work a “Job” at one of the (5) five shows for you. It will be the volunteer’s RESPONSIBILITY to sign in with the show manager; “Jobs” are first come first serve. We wel-come you to call ahead to reserve your spot. “Job” Example: Working the gate, taking entries, calling exhibtors to their class, hanging signs and/or picking up after the show. No “Job” will prevent you or the organizing committee from showing that day.
9. Halter Horse ties will be broken via Grand/Reserve. Grand will be given (1) one point more than the highest point horse in same sex division. Reserve will be given ½ point more than the highest point horse in the same sex division. Champion of Champions Class—Grand and Reserve for each class will compete, points top 6 places (not to be included in the All Around competition), 1st place will be awarded for that show and points will go toward the saddle at the end of the year.
10. An exhibitor must show in at least 3 of the 5 shows to qualify for year end awards.
